How much can I earn?
It depends on your vehicle and the jobs you take. Estimated from Drevo's pricing, a car earns from £13 an hour, a small van from £14, a medium van from £14 and a large van from £16 — counted from collection to your last drop, before fuel. There's no ceiling: businesses can raise the price of a job, and every penny of that goes to you.
Does Drevo take a cut of my pay?
No. The pay you see on a job is yours in full. Drevo's fee is charged to the business on top of it, never taken out of what you earn.
Do I see the pay before I accept a job?
Yes. Every job shows the full pay, the estimated time it takes and how far you are from the pickup — before you accept.
When and how do I get paid?
Every Friday, straight to your bank account. Pay clears 48 hours after a delivery, and everything cleared by Wednesday at 23:59 goes in that Friday's payment. No invoices to send and no chasing.
Are there any fees or deductions?
No fee to join and no fee per job. Drevo pays for your identity, right-to-work and vehicle checks. Your own costs are the things any self-employed courier pays: your insurance, your basic DBS, fuel and running your vehicle.
Am I paid for driving to the pickup?
No — like going to any job, the pay covers the work from collection to your last drop. That's why every job shows how far away it is before you accept: you decide what's worth the drive.
What if the business cancels after I've accepted?
If they cancel before you collect, you get £2.50 — or £5 if you're already on your way. If they cancel after you've collected, you're paid for the job in full.
Can I turn jobs down?
Yes, always, and it costs you nothing — you only take the jobs you want. Handing a job back after you've accepted it is different: it counts against your reliability, because a business was relying on you.
Do I have to work set hours?
No. No shifts, no rotas and no minimum hours. Open the app when it suits you and take the jobs that fit your day.
Can I work for other delivery apps too?
Yes. You're self-employed, so you're free to work for anyone else at the same time, including other courier platforms.
How do I get jobs?
Jobs near you appear in the app, within a working radius you choose, up to 30 miles. Each one shows the pay, the time and the distance up front. The first courier to accept takes it.
What if a parcel is lost or damaged?
That's what the goods-in-transit part of your insurance is for, which is why it's required. A complaint never freezes or reduces your pay — the claim goes through your insurance, not your earnings. Anything under your policy's excess is yours to settle, as with any insurer.
What if nobody's in to take a delivery?
You record what happened in the app and bring the parcel back to the business at the end of your run. Your pay for that job is released as soon as it's scanned back in.
What do I need to do at each drop?
Scan the parcels and take a photo at the door. Some parcels also need an age check or a code from the recipient — the app tells you when.
What's a reliability score, and can I be removed?
Your score comes from completing jobs, confirming booked ones and not handing them back. A high score opens up jobs reserved for top-rated couriers. You can always ask for a person to review your score, or any decision based on it.
